We’re now almost two weeks in to the new year, one week from my last update. My weight is continuing to drop slowly but steadily. This morning I checked in at 220.4, dropping the trend weight to 222.6. I’ve been working out slightly more often so far in the new year – averaging three to four days a week versus two or slightly above for most of last year. Some of those are lighter days of pure cardio, but so far I’ve been working with my trainer 3 times a week. That will go down to 2 starting next week simply due to financial concerns, but I’m hoping to keep in the habit of getting to the gym three or four days a week total. I’m eating slightly better this year too, although I’m not eating nearly as well as my trainer or study dietician want. I’m cutting back on carbs and sodium, even from where I was, but not tracking anything very closely. I’m munching on sunflower seeds almost daily, which seems to help reduce my meal sizes since I’m not as hungry, but there’s so much salt on them that I have to mix a bag of salted and a bag of unsalted or it’s borderline unpalatable. So far, things are happening nicely, at the pace I want them to happen – my target is about 5 lbs a month, and at the current pace I’m slightly ahead of that curve (3.2 lbs in 2 weeks).

Monday, September 20th, 2010Clocked in at 217.8 this morning. I’m pretty sure that’s an all-time low – or at least an all-decade low. I might have dropped to slightly lower for a day a while back, but not sustained. Had a lunch that I brought from home today, so I’m hoping that helps keep it down tomorrow morning, got to get something healthy for the movie night thing tonight.
Bad Day
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010Today has so far been a pretty bad day… weight-wise, I’m only at 220.0 so I’m not entirely unhappy, just slightly unhappy. I tried to play racquetball today at lunch, and everything felt stiff, sore, and unresponsive. I was completely missing shots that I should have been hitting because I could move fast enough, and my legs are still sore from the effort. Not to mention being drag-arse tired and feeling like I need a three-hour nap…
I’m so looking forward to the beer tasting at the Flying Saucer tonight. It wil be a good night, no matter what the day has been.

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010219.8 this morning, even after the workout with Meredith. Not back above 220, but closer than I want to be. Lets see if I can keep that below 220 tomorrow morning – need to eat healthy today, which probably means staying away from Subway. I’m developing a bit of a distaste for their wheat bread – it’s just… a bit off somehow.

Monday, August 30th, 2010I’ve been slack about updating recently, mostly because I’ve just been getting lazy. I’m not where I need to be on weight, but I did clock in at 219.2 this morning, and I feel like my stomach is eating itself this morning. I had a muffin for breakfast, not sure that was wise, but I needed something. Hopefully I can keep the weight down, and keep losing weight – 220.4 yesterday morning and 220.6 the morning before is a good trend.
Another wobble
Friday, August 6th, 2010221.4 this morning… which I’m trying to attribute to my stomach being wobbly the past few days and me needing to eat more bland pasta-type stuff to avoid issues. Trying, but nto entirely succeeding. I have been somewhat slack about exercising since Wednesday, again due to the stomach, so that may very well play a part. Had a decent lunch today, though – salad with grilled chicken and water – hopefully things will be settled down by tomorrow.

Thursday, August 5th, 2010219.6 this morning – yesterday was a blip, after all. As I’d hoped. I feel like I’m on track to get down to 200 by Thanksgiving, which is my current goal – I’m feeling a bit wonky in the sinuses this week, so I’m hoping I won’t have to buffer with bread to help with that, but overall I’m doing good.
Time to find a new breakfast…
Monday, August 2nd, 2010This new formula the protein powder people are using for their vanilla flavored powder is nasty. I need to find a now source – the strawberry seems to still be okay, but the vanilla is now night undrinkable.

Friday, July 30th, 2010221.4 this morning – bit of an increase, but as long as I don’t go way up I’m still happy. I just need to get it under control. I can’t look at the trend line anymore since the physicsdiet site went tits-up and lost all my data. Very unhappy about that.
Had McAlister’s french dip for lunch yesterday and today, going to need to be careful about eating tonight.

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010Had salmon for dinner tonight… plus two beers. Awesome dinner with a great friend – as usual for Wednesday ngiht. It was keep-the-glass night at Flying Saucer, so I had to get the glass… I just hope that doesn’t do anythign really bad to my weight loss progress. Check in tomorrow morning with the weight update… for now, goodnight!
